Best Standing Desks 2026

I've assembled six standing desks in the last three years. Two had motors that died inside 18 months. These are the ones that didn't. Every desk here has been evaluated on motor noise at 45 decibels or below, height range against my 6'1" frame, and whether the cable management tray fits a power strip without hanging.

Frequently Asked Questions

What height range do I actually need for a standing desk?
At 5'10" you need a max height of at least 45 inches standing. At 6'1" I require 47 inches minimum. Always check the max, not the min.
Is a two-leg or four-leg base more stable?
Four-leg frames stop wobbling above 44 inches. Two-leg desks at mid-range prices introduce perceptible movement above 46 inches with a dual-monitor setup.
How loud is a standing desk motor?
Under 45 dB is acceptable in a call. The Seiffen Logicdata measures 38 dB. Budget motors run 48–52 dB, which is audible on video calls.
